Jonamay Lambert

With over 25 years of experience, Jonamay has engaged with a broad range of industries from non-profit agencies in the Fortune 500, 100 and many of the Top 50 companies recognized by Diversity, Inc. Her mission is to ensure that every person has the opportunity to contribute fully and each feel valued because of the many possibilities and contributions that they bring.

Jonamay is known for designing an integrated enterprise-wide D&I strategy based on business objectives that drive outcomes. She and the Lambert Associates provides support through consulting, including the development of business case, design, and facilitation of D&I education and coaching. Jonamay is known for using a customized approach and attracting and retaining a world-class team of Associates which results in multi-year contracts with a broad spectrum of clients from financial, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, government, non-profits, and education. Some of her many previous and current clients include Allstate, CNA, State Farm, WellPoint, PNC, S&P, Sara Lee, Sears, Baxter, SourceAmerica, and University of Michigan to name a few.

Believing in the importance of understanding culture, assessment is another core strength. Jonamay has contributed to the D&I Assessment field by co-developing The School Diversity Inventory (2001) and Spectra Diversity and Inclusion Profile – 2016.

Joni is a pioneer in the design and facilitation of diversity education. She was awarded grants by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Humanities for the design and delivery of D&I education to audiences with special needs.

She is the author of Trainer’s Diversity Source Book, the series of 50 Diversity and Inclusion Activities and numerous other published works used by hundreds of domestic and global organizations. Jonamay is also editor and contributing author of, “Global Competence.” 50 training activities for succeeding in international business

Jonamay is recognized as a thought-leader in D&I and has partnered with other firms and organizations to create unique products and services. Working with Diversity Best Practices, Joni was the subject matter expert and lead instructional designer of Next Generation Diversity Competencies (NGDC) for Practitioners and ERG Leaders.

Ms. Lambert has been featured in Diversity Inc., quoted by the media, and has presented at national and international conferences. She is a faculty member of the Summer Institute of Intercultural Communication and is certified administrator and coach of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI). Jonamay holds a BS in education an MA in Counseling Psychology and is a certified coach.
